Getting rid of Acne Scars and Blemishes Naturally
Natural methods to combat acne scars and marks are become more popular. The good news is that there are some natural methods to help you eliminate these unsightly blemishes left behind by acne.
The silver lining behind home remedies for acne blemishes is the low cost because most of the ingredients are readily available in your home. The two negative aspects of home remedies are that the effects can take longer to notice and they can vary greatly from individual to individual. But, be patient and consistent with any natural home remedy.
Natural Acne Scars Treatment
Before you begin a routine that includes a natural home remedy for acne scars and marks, wash your face with warm water. Always test out the product on a small area of skin to make sure that it does not produce irritation or an allergic reaction. Also remember that all of the following remedies can be diluted with water to produce a gentler mixture.
Garlic
Garlic is considered a wonder food for its many health properties. It has also been used in the treatment of acne scars and marks left by pimples. Nevertheless, if you choose to use garlic, take care to rinse the product off immediately if you feel any burning sensation.
For this home remedy, finely grate a clove of garlic and mix with two tablespoons of water. Apply the paste directly to the area and massage carefully. The garlic will exfoliate the skin and remove a layer of scar tissue, so do not leave it on for more than five minutes.
Because of the garlic's irritating properties, always apply aloe vera directly to the affected area right after you have rinsed off the paste. Aloe vera will rehydrate your skin and protect it without causing further irritation.
Lemons and Tomatoes
Both lemons and tomatoes are fruits that are high in citric acid which has excellent properties for cleaning and rejuvenating the skin. They have been used in natural skin treatment for centuries. Due to their high Vitamin A content, tomatoes in particular reduce the production of sebum.
You will need only one tablespoon of lemon juice for this home remedy. Using a cotton ball, apply the lemon juice directly to the affected area. Remove the juice after ten minutes using a mild cleanser.
If you choose tomato juice, you can also apply it directly to the skin with a cotton ball. Remember to rinse after 10 minutes.
It always pays to use fresh natural products instead of the canned versions. The canned versions can contain additives that might produce side effects and reduce the full effect of the natural components.
There are several other natural and inexpensive ways to treat acne scarring. Don't forget that the results attained with natural scar treatment can vary greatly from one person to the next. With consistency and patience, you will see how your mild acne scars and pimple marks fade with natural home remedies.
